My Father's House is a non-profit mission based agency designed to help orphans, war-affected children, and children at-risk.  We are committed to giving these children a safe home, education, basic needs, and love!  We have a vision to establish a children's village in Uganda!  My Father's House was established in February of 2009 by Rebecca Sorensen following her service and experience in four African nations! (Read about her history on the page Royal Hope Academy!)

My Father's House was birthed out of a dream of compassion, to bring the lost children home...to their Father.

My Father's House is a non profit mission based agency committed to:

RESCUING at-risk children

RESTORING their bodies, souls, and minds in a safe environment by providing shelter, food, clothing, clean drinking water, trauma counseling, art/music therapy, LOVE, and spiritual teaching and experience based on the gospel of Jesus Christ and a foundation of the Father's Love. We want to put children into small group homes not institutional orphanages.

RAISING leaders, world changers, and visionaries by providing quality education, mentoring, and character development through the teachings of Biblical principles.

REBUILDING their nations through micro-finance and other forms of economic development which in turn will generate income to provide for the ministries ( i.e. schools, homes, churches, etc.) meeting their needs.

RELEASING and empowering national ministers and leaders to care for their children through kingdom relationship and partnership i.e. working together, praying for one another, and sharing resources for a common vision.

REVIVING the body of Christ to be the hands and feet of Jesus by stirring passion and compassion through inspirational storytelling, education, and awareness of poverty, hunger, and disease and its affects on the least of these....the children.

The FACTS: The number of children in the world that have lost their mother or father, are parentless, or have been abandoned…now exceeds 143 million.

In the past hour…

1,625 children were forced to live on the streets by the death or abuse of an adult

1,667 children under the age of five died from malnutrition and vaccine-preventable diseases

115 children became prostitutes

66 children under 15 were infected with HIV

257 children were orphaned because of HIV/AIDS

Most children are under the age of fifteen and are…

Sleeping on concrete beds and rancid garbage piles every night – streets, sewers, dumps

Scavenging amongst human waste and excreta for rotting morsels and scraps to eat

Huffing glue and other substances in order to numb the cold, hunger, pain…and shame

Prostituting themselves for basic food and shelter

Trafficked and sold into sexual bondage, even at five years old and younger (see Sexual Exploitation)

Abused and brutalized by sexual predators, local gangs, corrupt police officers, and slum lords

Victimized by HIV/AIDS-infected men who believe that sleeping with young virgins can cure the disease

Recruited into lives of thievery, smuggling and drug dealing

Abducted to serve as child soldiers or the sex slaves of soldiers

Exploited as child laborers or slaves in sweatshops

Executed by local businessmen and officials who view them as a dirty pests interfering with trade and commerce

Sacrificed in occult/witchcraft rituals

Robbed of childhoods; Robbed of self esteem; Robbed of innocence;

Robbed of hope

TODAY, 45000 CHILDREN WILL BECOME...ORPHANS.
